Blog 5

For starters, I just want to say that preparing for portfolios is not the easiest job we will ever come across, neither is it the hardest job. What makes me anxious about the portfolios is preparing it for someone I never met or seen before to read and give a final thought on. I always get my thesis sentence in the wrong place, and that could really mess me up with my reader in the future. That would be another reason for me to worry about my portfolio. I believe that I will best benefit myself on the portfolios by proofreading over and over again, and analyzing  my papers for the biggest errors . What I can do to ensure that my portfolio reflects my very best hand writing is understand exactly what my weak points are in the portfolios, and my strong points in the portfolio.

Deadlines- Fourth blog

I would start off by saying that I am not the best person when it comes to meeting deadlines. I am neither the worst person when it comes to deadlines. If this was the real world which it is based on the fact that I am in college, I keep my eyes wide open to make sure I do what ever I have to do to beat the deadline. I go back and I look at what has to be done and try to get it done as fast as I can. An example would be if I wanted to go on a three night , four day cruise, I will have to get ready for it as early as 18 months prior to the day that I step on the cruise. I need to make sure that the cruise is within my budget so that I know whether I can afford it or not. If I do not have everything done by the end of those 18 months like I don't have my plane tickets to fly to where the cruise ship is, I would be missing out on a good cruise vacation. Me missing out on a cruise vacation would be a consequence for not having in all payments and material that I need to have on time. When that happens , I just take the consequence like a man and I just deal with it. I have missed deadlines before, and it is a pretty bad experience . Missing a deadline is the last thing I rather do for anything. As for Montgomery College, I have missed several deadlines for my last semester . I did what ever I had to do at the best of my ability . When I missed the deadlines, I had a moment to fret , but I accepted the consequences by the end of the day.

Second Blog

One of the things that I wanted most in life lately is being surrounded by Music. Music is my life, I breathe, eat , and live Music. From the time I wake up until I go to sleep at night, all I want to be around is music. Music gets me through many phases throughout time. One being that Music helps me concentrate on given work or assignments. two being that Music can drown out loud noise , loud talk or annoying voices. Three being that It helps me to relax and unwind from a hard days journey. Four being that the music I listen to helps me to just go into another dimension or go to sleep. I can say that music gets me through a lot.

Eric Thomas - First blog

I would like to say that every body have to star from the bottom and work there way up at the top.Nothing is really free in this world;if you think about it success is not really free, because just like the man said in the video you have to go through pain and all type of test to have the success the you want. The harder you want your success, the sooner you will get it. The questions I ask myself from time to time is am I starving for my success?, am I dehydrated or thirsty for my success?, or am I just watching opportunities past me by while I am stuck at the bottom? My answer now would be that I am starving for success. Now how in the world can you tell? I am here that's how. Now will the real Demitri Layton stand up.

Persepolis Assignment 10-5-14

Persepolis is a very catchy book.Once people start to read it, their attention will definitely be caught. In the book, the story is about a ten year old girl basically transitioning from girlhood to womanhood. This is what I have learned about reading Persepolis, the little girl have always wanted to be in charge of her community or her country. She always wanted to be a leader; she was also taught to stand up for what she believed in. In closing I would like to say that at a very young age, I believe that she had learned more at the age of ten than most people probably learned there entire life. With her experience, she was always willing to learn more about the real world, so at the age of 14 she was welcomed in womanhood.
